One full day in Amsterdam before heading to England. We caught the train into the city and began to walk around. We looked in some souvenir shops, smelled some smells that are ordinarily much more muted in the U.S. and saw the royal palace. Walking around a little more saw us find the Anne Frank museum and house. The photo of the house itself was ruined somewhat by a lady refusing to move out of the way despite not talking to anyone and not taking a photo. However, it was a very humbling experience. I think we will have to go back and book a ticket to the actual museum.
After dinner we took a walk in the Red Light district, and it was odd seeing placed openly advertising goods and services that are illegal where we live. Definitely a cool experience though.
